Defined boundaries.
Clear responsibilities.
The public policies for Energy Control OS explain how this website may be used, how information is handled, and why an illustrative electrical model can never replace field verification or authorized procedures.
Privacy Policy
Your information, our current processing practices.
Scope and operator
This Privacy Policy explains how Energy Control OS ("ECOS," "we," "us") handles personal information associated with www.energycontrolos.com, its public demonstrations, and its contact and evaluation-request forms. The notice covers information processed through the public Site. Any separately contracted enterprise services may be governed by additional customer agreements and privacy disclosures.
Information we receive
When you browse the site, the hosting and protective infrastructure may process request metadata such as IP address, browser/device type, requested pages, time, network characteristics, and security signals. The public electrical scenarios are modeled and do not collect equipment telemetry. If the Request Access form is enabled and you submit it, we receive the name, work email, organization, job title, organization category, functional role, purpose of evaluation, optional project/facility context, optional invitation code, and your acknowledgments. If you use the legal inquiry form, we receive your name, email, inquiry category, and message. Do not submit passwords, personal identifiers, access credentials, actual switching orders, confidential drawings, or customer-restricted project data.
How we use information
We use information to present and protect the public website; manage legitimate evaluation requests; communicate about a requested product evaluation; respond to legal, privacy, security, and accessibility inquiries; prevent abuse; troubleshoot service availability; and meet applicable legal obligations. We do not represent that an inquiry grants an account, approval, switching permission, or a contractual customer relationship.
Service providers and disclosures
We may disclose personal information to service providers that assist with website delivery, hosting, security and abuse prevention, inquiry processing, business communications, and operational support. These categories of providers may process relevant information to perform those services, subject to applicable contracts and law. We may also disclose information to professional advisers, where required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a lawful organizational transaction subject to appropriate protections. We do not publish inquiry information as an open directory.
Cookies, device signals and analytics
The site and hosting/security services may use essential technical identifiers needed to serve or defend the site and, when enabled, verify form submissions. Browser requests may also be reflected in aggregated operational analytics. This version of ECOS does not intentionally deploy third-party behavioral advertising pixels. We do not present a nonessential tracking-consent banner unless and until it is needed for the actual technologies and applicable locations. Standard browser "Do Not Track" signals do not by themselves alter essential server/security logging. Where applicable law recognizes additional privacy preference signals, our obligations depend on the applicable law and actual processing; this notice is not a substitute for legally required opt-out controls.
Retention and security
We retain inquiry information only for legitimate evaluation, response, recordkeeping or legal purposes, and review it for deletion when those purposes no longer apply. Retention can differ for delivery-provider records, security logs and legally required records; no uniform retention period is represented here. We use service-level safeguards suitable for an early-stage public site and restrict intended access to inquiry data, but no transmission or system can be guaranteed perfectly secure.
Your choices and privacy requests
You can refrain from using optional forms, avoid including sensitive details, and request information about access, correction, deletion, or other applicable rights using the Legal & Trust contact channel. We will review requests in light of the laws that apply to the requester and ECOS. We may verify your identity before releasing or changing personal information. Do not send identity documents through the public form unless a verified secure process is separately arranged.
International visitors and minors
The public site is operated for professional and enterprise audiences and is not directed to children under 13. If we learn that a child has submitted personal information, we will evaluate removal consistent with applicable law. Data may be handled by U.S. or other provider infrastructure; before intentionally offering a service subject to EU/UK privacy law or processing enterprise customer data internationally, appropriate notices and transfer arrangements must be established.
Changes to this notice
This notice is effective October 23, 2026. We will publish material changes on this page and apply additional notice or consent where applicable law requires it. We will not treat a quiet website revision as authorization to repurpose previously collected information in a materially incompatible manner.
Terms of Use
Rules for viewing and evaluating the public ECOS site.
Agreement and scope
These Terms of Use apply to your use of the ECOS public website, graphics, descriptions, and interactive demonstration (together, the "Site"). By choosing to use the Site, you accept these terms to the extent enforceable under applicable law. A footer link alone does not replace any affirmative acceptance required for account, evaluation, or commercial agreements. If you do not agree, discontinue use. A signed enterprise or pilot agreement supersedes these terms for the subjects it expressly covers.
Audience and permitted use
ECOS provides limited, revocable, nonexclusive, nontransferable permission to view the Site for lawful informational and internal evaluation purposes. You may share ordinary page links and publicly available descriptions with attribution. No access to source code, nonpublic architecture, commercial license, customer deployment, operational system, or production account is granted by using this Site.
Prohibited conduct
You must not unlawfully access or interfere with the Site, defeat access restrictions, impersonate another person, upload malware, probe infrastructure without authorization, use automated scraping in violation of applicable law or technical access controls, or attempt to obtain nonpublic code, credentials or security-sensitive documentation. You must not misrepresent an ECOS scenario as verified equipment status or use public drawings to issue switching or isolation instructions.
Ownership and user submissions
The Site and original content are protected to the extent recognized by applicable intellectual-property law and may include licensed third-party elements. ECOS and its applicable rights holders retain their rights. You retain rights to your own lawfully supplied inquiry information and ideas. If you voluntarily provide nonsensitive product feedback, you grant ECOS a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to consider and use it for product improvement; do not send third-party confidential material or material you lack authority to share.
No operational advice or authorization
The Site is an illustrative informational resource and not engineering certification, professional advice, energy-state monitoring, hazardous-energy authorization, or a substitute for an employer-controlled safety program. See Safety & Operational Limitations. Never use this public demonstration to decide whether equipment is energized, deenergized, grounded, isolated, safe to approach or ready for work.
Availability and changes
We may modify, pause, restrict, or discontinue public demonstrations or evaluation invitations. No uptime, account creation, release schedule, security certification, feature completeness, or service-level agreement is promised through the Site.
Third-party materials and links
Linked standards, websites, service providers, and other third-party resources remain controlled by their respective operators. References are informational, may change, and do not imply endorsement by regulators, utilities, equipment makers, or employers.
Disclaimer of warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Site is offered "as is" and "as available," without warranties of uninterrupted operation, accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, noninfringement, or suitability for field reliance. Nothing here excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ECOS and applicable rights holders will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special or punitive damages arising from use or inability to use the public Site. To the extent a monetary cap is lawful and enforceable, aggregate liability arising solely from free public Site use will not exceed US $100. These limitations do not apply to liabilities that law prohibits limiting, including applicable fraud, willful misconduct, or injury categories, and do not replace any separately signed contract.
Compliance and disputes
You are responsible for complying with laws applicable to your use, including data protection, export controls where relevant, and workplace safety rules. The parties will attempt in good faith to resolve Site-related disputes before litigation where practicable. The forum, governing law, and any binding dispute mechanism for a paid or pilot relationship must be established in a separate signed agreement; these public terms do not impose undisclosed arbitration or an unverified corporate domicile.
Updates and effective date
These Terms take effect October 23, 2026. Revised terms will be posted here with an updated date. Material changes will not automatically retroactively remove vested rights or bypass legally required notice or agreement.
Safety & Operational Limitations
Hard boundaries around hazardous-energy information.
Role of ECOS
ECOS is intended to organize relationships between electrical assets, potential sources, work areas, isolation records, and responsibilities. The public Scenario Explorer is fictional, illustrative, and nonoperational. It does not establish or verify live equipment conditions and cannot direct physical switching, release work authorizations, or establish a safe condition for work.
Never use a visual state as field verification
A green dot, illuminated path, open-switch symbol, red open point, "isolation recorded," "grounding review," "temporary source," or any other color, label or animation does not establish that a conductor is deenergized, free of backfeed, grounded, tested, safely isolated or accessible. Drawings may omit sources or hazards. Animation indicates a modeled relationship, not electric current, voltage, direction, or measured energy.
Employer and qualified-person responsibilities
Actual energy control must be performed under the employer’s approved procedures by appropriately qualified or authorized personnel. Those responsible must independently identify all hazardous energy sources; establish proper isolation/clearance and lockout or tagging as applicable; prevent or control stored and induced energy; perform required testing and verification; establish protective grounding and work boundaries as applicable; and coordinate switching and handoffs with the proper authority. The precise sequence must come from approved procedures and applicable standards, not from this website.
Regulatory context is educational
ECOS scenarios may cite OSHA 29 CFR 1926 Subpart K, 1926 Subpart V, 1910.147, 1910.333 and 1910.269. Which provisions apply depends on the work, asset, employer and jurisdiction, not a dropdown alone. A construction-to-operations handoff does not automatically make a particular requirement applicable or inapplicable. Refer to current law, applicable codes, owner/utility requirements and approved safety programs.
Limitations of records and automation
Historical isolation documents, approval indicators or an electronic work package must never be treated as proof of present equipment state. Any future connected ECOS functions must have their own validated data sources, role controls, procedures, testing, and customer-specific written scope before field reliance is considered. No public demo button can switch equipment, clear an isolation, approve a permit or release personnel to work.
No substitution for engineering or emergency response
ECOS is not a licensed engineer, authority having jurisdiction, utility system operator, electrical testing instrument, protective relay, manufacturer instruction, incident-response service or emergency communications network. In an actual hazardous situation, follow site emergency and safety procedures and contact appropriate local emergency services. Never delay safety-critical action while consulting this Site.
Pilot and production prerequisites
Any proposal to pilot ECOS on real projects requires a signed pilot agreement defining responsible employers, users, data sources, permitted use, verification, cybersecurity, stop-work controls, insurance and liability, and procedures for discrepancies. Public website access does not satisfy those requirements.
Intellectual Property
Original brand and software materials have defined use limits.
Rights in the Site
Energy Control OS, ECOS, its product interface, code, original illustrations, diagrams, written content, and the Circuit Meridian mark may be protected by copyright, trademark, trade-secret, contract and other laws, subject to originality, ownership, registration status and applicable exceptions. Rights belong to ECOS or the respective lawful holders. This notice does not claim exclusive copyright over ideas, standard engineering notation, unprotectable functionality or third-party content.
Limited public license
You may view Site content and share ordinary links for legitimate evaluation. You may not sell, white-label, commercially republish, remove rights notices from, redistribute source assets, or present Site materials as your own product without written authorization, except as permitted by law or an applicable license. Nothing in this notice is a patent grant or source-code license.
Names and marks
"ENERGY CONTROL OS™," "ECOS," and the associated logo are used as identifiers of this product, to the extent protectable. The ™ designation signals a claim, not federal registration. The ® symbol is not asserted. Other brand names belong to their respective owners. Trademark availability and legal ownership remain subjects of appropriate clearance and documentation.
Confidential materials and evaluations
A public demonstration is not a disclosure of private ECOS source repositories, roadmap information, unpublished methods, customer data or internal architecture. Access to nonpublic materials requires an authorized written evaluation or confidentiality agreement. Publicly displayed concepts cannot be made secret again by labeling them proprietary.
Feedback and reporting
If you believe material infringes rights, or wish to request permission to quote or use ECOS content, submit an inquiry through Contact. Keep evidence and ownership details ready for an appropriate secure exchange; do not post restricted source code or personally sensitive documentation into the public form.
Security & Responsible Disclosure
A public-stage security statement without invented certifications.
Scope of this statement
This Security statement addresses the public ECOS Site and the information visitors choose to submit through its public forms. It is not a certification of any separate enterprise offering. Product capabilities, access rights, and operational responsibilities provided under an enterprise agreement must be established in that agreement and its supporting documentation.
Protective measures and limits
We use technical and administrative safeguards intended to support website security, restrict unauthorized access, and mitigate abuse of public-facing functions. No online service or transmission method is guaranteed to be risk-free. Unless expressly supported by written evidence, this statement does not claim a particular security certification, independent audit, or guaranteed service level.
User responsibilities
Do not send passwords, secrets, network diagrams, energization plans, switch lists, access tokens, protected personnel data, or customer-restricted documents to public ECOS forms. Avoid account sharing and use current browser security practices.
Report a concern
Use the Legal & Trust inquiry form for a concise security report when it is accepting messages. Include an affected URL, a non-exploitative description and a way to respond; do not attach exploits, stolen data, credentials or detailed attack instructions. If the form is unavailable, use an established direct business relationship until a verified disclosure address is published. Do not conduct intrusive testing without written authorization.
Future enterprise assurance
Security questionnaires, data-processing agreements, access-control roles, incident procedures, audit artifacts and customer-specific commitments should be negotiated and substantiated before handling operational or confidential customer information.
Accessibility
We aim for an interface that remains usable.
Design goal
ECOS aims to make its public content perceivable, operable and understandable across devices, including keyboard access, descriptive labels, sufficient contrast and reduced-motion support. WCAG 2.2 Level AA is an engineering target, not a claim that this Site has completed an independent audit or meets every success criterion.
Known format limitations
Interactive electrical diagrams can be difficult to inspect using touch or assistive technologies. The Scenario Explorer includes textual explanatory alternatives and controls for selecting modeled assets, but these do not guarantee equivalent access for every browser or assistive technology configuration.
Report a barrier
Use the Contact section to describe the page, device/assistive technology if you wish, and the difficulty. We will assess requests and seek a practical alternative or remediation where feasible; this statement does not limit rights provided by applicable accessibility law.
Contact & Rights Requests
A secure inquiry channel for policy, privacy and safety concerns.
Where to reach ECOS
Use the inquiry form below for privacy requests, Terms/IP questions, accessibility feedback or coordinated security concerns. The form reports its availability before accepting submissions; submitting a message does not create an account or guarantee a specific reply deadline. If submissions are not enabled, contact the ECOS representative through an established business channel. We will publish a directly verified legal/privacy mailbox when one is established.
What not to send
Do not include government-issued identifiers, account passwords, proprietary electrical drawings, customer-specific switching plans, medical records, security credentials, or detailed vulnerability exploits. We may request additional verification using an appropriately secure channel when a legal request warrants it.
Reference framework
These official resources inform the site policies; references do not imply regulatory endorsement or legal certification.
